Here's what happens when you attend a Guided Forest Walk in Leduc

Forest Therapy or Bathing is a great tool to add to your self care toolbox.

Especially for those who tend to have a busy mind or if mainstream healing modalities aren't working.

The healing and benefits of nature start as soon as you step outside regardless of whatever stress or struggles someone might be facing.

  1. The walks usually start out with a little introduction, getting folks more familiar with the land and where the facilities are. From there we practice a short breathing and sensory awareness meditation before heading off into the invitations. Depending on the length of the session you can expect 3 - 4 sensory based invitations that will call you into a deeper relationship with yourself and the forest by utilizing the sense provoked.

  1. During these invitations you can either stay close to the guide or venture off into the forest, staying within hearing range of the guide.  This is a great time to take a moment for yourself and begin to notice the awe and synchronicity within mother nature.

  2. After the invitation is complete there is an opportunity to share what everyone noticed, this is completely optional as with all portions of the walk.

  3. Once the invitations are all finished we gather for a closing tea and gratitude ceremony, honoring the space that we held together and that was offered by the forest.

Overall the walking portion of the sessions is fairly short.  There is a lot more focus on slowing down and noticing the beautiful details around you rather than getting to a set destination.  The guide will usually have a small chair with them as well if anyone would prefer to sit during the invitations.
